Metal Slug X

SNK's Metal Slug 2 is a shoot-em-up video game. A sequel to Metal Slug was released in 1998 on the Neo-Geo MVS arcade platform. Since the game's first release was plagued by stuttering and other glitches, SNK made an improved version in 1999, dubbed Metal Slug X: Super Vehicle-001 (X). PlayStation, Wii, PlayStation 2 and Wii U have all had it converted to their own consoles, as well as iOS and Android (as part of the Metal Slug Anthology). In addition to the original Metal Slug's new weaponry, vehicles, and ability to change, the game featured a number of new features. It was largely well-received. Metal Slug 3 was released in 2000 as a direct sequel to the first.

Metal Slug X, a Neo Geo MVS port of Metal Slug 2, was released in March 1999. Faster performance was achieved by modifying the Metal Slug 3 engine for use in this game. Metal Slug X's gameplay and visuals have been overhauled in addition to the difficulty being raised.
