Description:

This strategy video game, known in Japan as Famicom Wars DS (Advance Wars: Dual Strike), is a turn-based strategy video game developed and distributed by Intelligent Systems and Nintendo. For Japan, it was released on June 23rd, 2005, in North America on August 22nd, 2006, Europe on September 30th, 2005, and Australia in March 22nd, 2006 for the Advance Wars series. Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, Advance Wars, and Advance Wars: Days of Ruin are all prequels and sequels to this game. The series of video games known as Advance Wars began with the release of Famicom Wars on the Family Computer in 1988.

The plot is a continuation of the previous two games, however this time it takes place in the new land of Omega. Omega Land's energy has been drained by a new commander of Black Hole, who wants to make himself immortal by draining Black Hole's power. Several former Black Hole commanding officers join the Allied Nations in their fight to defend the land from this threat.

"Universal praise" and numerous awards followed Advance Wars: Dual Strike's release in 2005, including IGN's "Best Strategy Game for the DS" honor. Over 35,000 copies were sold within the first ten weeks of release.
