Bangai-O Spirits

Originally released for the Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast, Bangai-O Spirits is an action adventure game.

A horizontally and vertically free-roaming side-scrolling shooting game, Bangai-O Spirits is a game of spirit summoning. While the player controls a flying robot, gravity still has an effect on it. He has seven weapons at his disposal, and he may use a baseball bat or a sword for melee attacks.

In addition to the 160 levels, the game has a level editor that allows players to construct their own. Edited levels can be encoded in sound and transferred between players via a computer recording. When Matsumoto learnt how to program on an ancient computer, the datacasettes, he developed this new technique.
